Villa Anassa (“anassa” meaning the intake of breath) – when guests first arrive at our home and upon entering, they almost inevitably take a sharp intake of breath in response to the ambiance & stunning uninterrupted views towards the Aegean and the Peloponnese beyond. Hence our naming our home Villa Anassa.

The house has been architecturally designed with a high regard to aesthetics, detail and finish. A home, built using traditional methods with solid stone walls measuring between 50 to 80 cm depth.

The roof is of wooden construction and tiled with salvaged  19th century ceramic roof tiles.

Outside walls have been plastered using the “pattito” method and are lime-washed every 4 years with natural ochre pigment resulting in a beautiful patina. The use of Baltic Limestone flag pavers, marble and “kalderimi” flooring, are all in keeping with traditional design elements. Set within landscaped gardens in a small vineyard, the principal double-story house comprises 207 m2 and offers comfortably large living areas.

All principal rooms enjoy spectacular sea views. On the ground floor an impressive hallway leads into a spacious barrel-vaulted lounge suite (or bedroom suite) in exposed local “almond stone”. a bathroom, and a very large kitchen/dining room also lead off the hall.
